Item Assignment #1: Scavenger Hunt
A scavenger hunt is a game in which individuals or teams seek to find a number of specific items, or perform tasks, as given in a list. The goal is either to complete the list first, or to complete the list in the most creative manner. The individual who finishes first will win a prize, as will the student who is the most creative. Hmmm, I wonder what that will look like.

Come inside to see the list.

Item Assignment #2: Writing & Reading Profile
As a starting point for the semester, I’d like you to spend some time thinking and writing about yourself as a writer and reader. In other words, I’d like you to compose a profile or portrait of yourself as a reader and writer, including your reading and writing history and habits. This is the time to tell me, please, if you have any particular problems or difficulties with reading or writing. I would also like to know if English is not your first language.
